Service heals hearts

Serving others can be a powerful way to heal a grieving heart. Research shows that altruistic acts can provide emotional relief, especially during times of grief. According to Dr. David B. Feldman in The Healing Power of Giving, acts of service can foster emotional healing and help individuals cope with their loss. By focusing on others, we can shift our attention away from personal pain and find purpose in difficult times. Mark Twain's words, "The best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer somebody else up," highlight the therapeutic effects of service.  Altruism during grief not only supports others but also promotes a sense of connection, healing, and peace. Ultimately, serving others can light the way through darkness, easing the burden of loss.
